from grandfather to grandsons

it started in 2013 when taylor convinced his grandfather jose to take a chance on an emerging superfruit. acai exotic was born with a simple mission: bring the world's best acai to america — not through brokers, but through real sourcing partnerships with the people closest to the fruit.

in 2015, spencer joined the venture, switching his major to food science at rutgers university to work alongside the family. after graduating in 2020, he brought scientific rigor to our operation — setting strict quality standards for our acai and developing formulations that let the fruit speak for itself, without fillers or shortcuts.

over a decade later, we've evolved from importers to full-scale manufacturers — producing frozen acai bases, smoothie bowls, and grab-and-go retail products for customers nationwide. our bowls, bowl bases and scoopable pails are made in the usa at our sqf-certified partner facility in south carolina.

our acai ingredient is usda organic certified, sourced from organic-certified suppliers in the brazilian amazon. final products can carry usda organic certification. products manufactured in south carolina are kosher certified by the ou, and our brazil-sourced products are kosher certified by tartikov (bdmc), an ultra-orthodox certification. our ingredients are non-gmo.
our ready-to-eat bowls, bowl bases and scoopable pails are made in the usa at our sqf-certified partner facility in greenville, south carolina (optimum frozen foods), which is sqf level 2 certified. our acai pure and acai + guarana packets are packed at the source in brazil, and our diced dragon fruit is packed in vietnam.
